Colombians in Brussels!

Brussels was the perfect plan for this weekend that I just wanted change my mood and see familiar faces again, because Bee and Ivancho were at Italy for AI Planning week!, perros!

Three friends before had invited to me to Belgium: Jimmy, he was trainee in Manizales a couple years ago and we are such great friends; Caro, we met each other in my University and LC Javeriana and the mexican Pedro, former MC in Belgium and we saw each other at Poland last year. It is a good omen when people invite you to the same place. :)

Besides, when I noticed that Memo, Chacon and Nata (AIESEC friends from Manizales) will be there too I didn't say no and prepared my stuff. Asier went with me as well.

The result:
An incredible colombian/international environment ever!
Partying hard, touristing hard and too much fun!

I liked Brussels, is a small, international and kind city. I liked its history, its free-chocolate, its architecture, its french-dutch-english pamphlets, its fruit's beers, its little boy peeing the city, and its ppl... I hope to go there again...

Merci beaucoup la Belgique! :)

Holland, first week!

This first week in NL has passed...
so fast for some things...
and extremely slow for other ones...

The weird!

-The daylight lasts until 10 or 11pm! because of the hemisphere thing. This is extremely weird to me. At 8pm the day looks like 4 at the afternoon. You can say 8 at the afternoon!!! hehehe

-Dutch people seems like they don't work! The stores open at 10am and are closed at 6pm o clock! damn it! because I have not walked out and see some of the commerce of Rotterdam after my work.

-Everything is too expensive. Nossa senhora! (brazilian expression)... one refraction could costs between 5 or 10 euros!! I have decided don't keep doing the currency change to colombian pesos any more, because I'm paying 6 times more than in Colombia for whichever thing I want!)

-In Holland, as you know, the drugs consumption are allowed, but just into the "Coffee shops". So, in these places you can find even marijuana brownies!. The other thing, obviously is when you're walking near of these places (especially in Amsterdam) the marijuana smell is so intense, and for them this is normal, but in LA you could identify this as a bad sign... whatever!

-The fact of be latin american girl has been a hit! I rock! seriously. :) I have heard comments about me such as I look like Jennifer Lopez or as any latin singer (jua jua jua), in the streets the people shout me things in dutch and the cars stop when I'm crossing the streets. hello? In addition, I've received some invitations to go out in 1 week!. Can you imagine how many there are ahead! :O hehehe

This is so funny to me, because I'm not used to feel that, but anyways, I love Europe, this is good for my ego. ;)

The cool...

-I´m living the routine of the AIESEC International people!!... I have seen that they are so normal, even they are more funny than any of us... I think, I keep that strange feelling of imagine that the ppl from high roles in AIESEC are something big, unreacheable, impossible.! But, basically this is the magic of the organization to do things you thought as impossible!

-In NL, everything is well organized, secure and cleaned. The people are so kind and everyone speaks english.

-The houses are SO beautiful... As I imagined!

-You can go by train in Europe! This last weekend I went to Amsterdam and the next one I'm gonna visit Caro in Belgium!.. by the way, to celebrate the Colombian Independence Day.

Here are some nice shots of this lucky girl adventure!

From Sao Paulo to Amsterdam the flight was fine. I watched 2 Movies, 3 series, 2 documentaries, heard Norah Jones, Nelly furtado, Bob Marly and some chill out music up to I fell slept. The food was good and my chair company, the best! a brazilian so cute :)

Ivancho!, Asier and Cindy (my mates) picked me up at the Central Train Station in Rotterdam. Then we came to the AI's office when are everyone.. I met Juan, Bee, Kiko, Gwen and the other hundred of ppl that are here for AI Transition... a mess!

Finally, the SSGN Board all together, had our first meeting at Dey's place.. can u believe this?
