Trainee of the month in Brazil!!

Look what I found today in the Brazil Community..! :)
You see those lines that my mentee (Débora VP X) wrote to me for the newsletter of the X corner in AIESEC Brazil..

It came to me as a total surprise!!

TRAINEE OF THE MONTH - JUNE
Alejandra Laiton Galán
(Colombia – AIESEC in Porto Alegre)

Alejandra received the new she had been accepted for a traineeship in Brazil on the same week that was announced she was elected MCVP People Development in Colombia. After considering all the possibilities she had, Aleja decided she just couldn´t lost any of this opportunities! Less than one month after that, Alejandra arrived in Porto Alegre to work in ALICE, realizing the first Explora Program TN of AIESEC Porto Alegre.

At the NGO, Aleja works with communication projects at “Morro da Cruz”, and this is very related to her learning plans, since she is a journalist who wants to develop projects around communication, believing this is the way she can contribute to change the world. Rosina, the Ashoka fellow from the NGO, is very satisfied with Aleja, and they are sharing lots of ideas around communication, because Rosina does nowadays projects like the ones Alejandra wishes to do in the future.

Since she has a large experience in AIESEC, having already been VP and LCP of AIESEC Javeriana, in Colombia, she is contributing a lot to our LC, facilitating sessions for our new members, contributing in our general meetings, sharing how her LC works. Listen to Alejandra talking about her @XP is really inspiring. She is one of that people that make us believe AIESEC is the right place for us, and that´s why I´ve choosen her as my mentor.

This month, Aleja is already preparing things to go back to Colombia. Her MC transition has already started, and soon she will finish her traineeship to enjoy another leadership role AIESEC has offered to her as opportunity, and keep contributing to the results of the organization.
